This collection of narratives is a humble effort in shifting the gaze from the survivors and victims of the gruesome and insidious caste system to the people from privileged castes who have grown up looking at their families (the fundamental unit of the society) perpetuating caste for their benefit.
This collection highlights the experiences of anticaste allies and the implications of going beyond one’s socialisation, which can be especially stifling for non-cis men, gender non-conforming and disabled folks. The bid to break through can be a lonesome and a psychologically challenging endeavour.
