Call for Position: Communication Manager at Dalit Human Rights Defenders Network (Virtual)
Job Location: Remote, India
Education: Master’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field (not mandatory)
Experience: Minimum 3 Years
Age Limit: None
Language Known: English and Hindi with good writing and speaking, any Indian regional languages will be an added advantage.
Remuneration: Commensurate with expertise.
Dalit Human Rights Defenders Network (DHRDNet) is looking for dynamic, creative, self-driven communication manager who will be looking after the overall social media handles of DHRDNet as per the responsibilities are given below:
Responsibilities:
  • Create informative and interesting press releases, press kits, newsletters, and related campaign materials.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build awareness.
  • Develop/maintain social media profiles and quality content on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Deliver creative content (text, graphics, image and videos) including through use of canva, etc.
  • Develop other, relevant social media outlets to support and expand campaign presence.
  • Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all campaign materials.
  • Supervise campaign to guarantee all content is publication-ready.
  • Respond to campaign-related issues in a timely manner.
Desired Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field (not mandatory).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience creating content on anti-caste, violence against women/girls is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
