Call for position:  Social Media Campaign Manager
Job Term: For four months

The National Council of Women Leaders (NCWL) is looking for a Social Media Campaigns Manager to run a campaign against caste based sexual violence to be launched in June, 2021 in India. NCWL is a national body working across India empowering women and trans-women leaders from marginalised communities such as Tribal, Dalit, Muslim and sex workers with varying qualities and capacities.

Responsibilities:

  • Create informative and interesting press releases, press kits, newsletters, and related campaign materials.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build awareness.
  • Develop/maintain social media profiles and quality content on Twitter, instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Deliver creative content (text, graphics, image and videos) including through use of canva, etc.
  • Develop other, relevant social media outlets to support and expand campaign presence.
  • Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all campaign materials.
  • Supervise campaign to guarantee all content is publication-ready.
  • Respond to campaign-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Desired Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field (not mandatory).
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience creating content on anti-caste, violence against women/girls is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
  • Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

Remuneration: Commensurate with expertise.
