The accused and the victim’s sister were studying together due to which the accused used to visit the victim at her house, often. Both the families were on good terms. One day the accused took victim at Sawliyaji temple so that she can pick up her sister but when they reached, it was empty and the accused tied a small black magic thread on her wrist and fed her some intoxicating substance. In her unconscious state, he raped her and made obscene video of her and dropped her at her home. The accused showed her the clips and images of them in compromising positions and started to blackmail her by threatening to upload them on social media if she refuses to sleep with him. She was raped whenever the accused wanted. She has completed her education till HSC and had some basic knowledge of computer. She was working at gram panchayat as Prerak. From this, she has earned and saved some money and kept it aside but through blackmailing, the accused grabbed her 50,000 rupees.
Scared that she might get pregnant, the accused gave her anti-pregnancy medicines due to which she started to face some health issues and several times she was hospitalized.
The accused looted her valuables, her educational documents from her house and set fires on corps as well. She had to tell her parents after getting very frustrated. The parents went to the police to file an FIR. After filing the FIR the news came in the Newspaper after that accused had uploaded all photos and videos on social networking site. Police had immediately reported the FIR and after some time, they arrested the accused.
After the incident, the victim had faced many difficulties; like she left her education, she left her work at Panchayat, her marriage was broken we as well as her brother’s. Her father was working in the village but he couldn’t work there anymore. In her village, the villagers and Panchayat members pressurized her family for settlement and to withdraw the case. When refused, the Panchayat had decided to throw her and her family outside the village.
Jansahas Nirbhaya Abhiyan team had got information about this case from news source. After this, the fact-finding team reached to the victim’s family and they found the news was true. The Nirbhaya team gave all the legal information and prepare legal support for the victim. The Nirbhaya team encouraged the victim and counseled. The team has obtained FIR from the police station and gave application to the S.P, IG and women cell of Jaipur. Based on this application, police has arrested the accused. Nirbhaya team also economically supported the victim. The team had also helped the victim to open a grocery shop to for her livelihood and from time to time, team counseled her and her family. For her protection, in present status, team assigned three female constables from S.P office at her home. The incident had deeply disturbed her life, but after the intervention, she is again living a normal life.
